Teacher assessments Teachers will also make an assessment of children’s end of KS2 achievement using the Statutory Teacher Assessment Frameworks for reading, writing, maths & science

Booster sessions One hour booster session for each subject (Maths and English) once a week in school Sessions include: Completing past papers Focus questions e.g. particular type such as ‘explain questions’ in maths Revision of topic areas Time to work on questions for a particular topic or focus Homework will be set after each session

Booster session homework Children will need to be organised Teacher will give the children folders to keep all their work in (one for each subject) SATs questions involve lots of paper – quantity of paper does not mean quantity of questions e.g. 10 maths Q may be 10 sheets of paper It is best to spread the homework over the week and not leave it all until the night before

Revision books Set of books from CGP comprising of: Maths study book Maths question book 10 minute maths tests 10 minute SPaG tests English study book English question book

Revision books cont. Use at home Completing small amounts regularly is advised Bring question books once a week so teachers can check how children are getting on Parents please do help children with homework and revision book questions Ask children to teach you how to do it – this is the best way to check their understanding

How can we help you? Drop in sessions (for children and their parents) will be held every Monday after school (Maths) and Thursday after school (English) Please write a note in your child’s diary if your child intends to come along that week with a few words about the area they would like to focus on Please ask if you have any queries or concerns

Remember Remember to balance… Relaxation Rest Recreation Revision
