“I” messages A statement that focuses on your feelings rather than someone else’s behavior For example: You message- “Why can’t you ever show up on time?” I message- “I don’t really like to be left waiting.”
Role Play #1 You are standing in a group with bunch of your friends there is one person that tends to monopolize the communication. Use an “I” message to encourage the person to listen to other points of view.
