Warm Up – Friday, October 2nd What is slavery? How long has slavery been around? Does slavery exist today? If no, why not? If yes, where and why? What are your thoughts on slavery? Be detailed.

Essential Questions Why were African Americans more desirable as slaves than indentured servants or Native Americans? What sort of conditions did Africans endure on their voyage to the New World?
