Cristopher Columbus FUN FACTS Columbus represents the country Spain The obstacles that he came across was that is crew had no maps. That worried him and his crew. His purpose was to sail west to reach Asia. His achievements was being the first European to reach the New World in 1492 FUN FACTS Sailors on Christopher Columbus’s ships slept on the open deck at night. They tied themselves down to keep from being thrown into the sea as the ship rolled into the waves!

Vasco Nunez balboa FUN FACTS! He represented the country Spain. His obstacle was to fight with the Native Americans. His purpose was looking for wealth and fame. His achievements was being the first European to discover the Pacific ocean in 1513. FUN FACTS! Once settled in North America, Balboa married the daughter of the local Native American Chief.
