Official and non-official symbols of the U.S.

The bald eagle (lat. Haliaeetus leucocephalus) is one of the main symbols of the United States. It is a large bird of hawk family that lives in North America.

Flower symbol for the U.S. - rose. The law, which declares a symbol of the United States rose says: Americans have always loved the flowers with which God decorates our land. More than any other flower, we are holding the rose as a symbol of life, love, devotion, beauty and eternity. To say about the love between a man and a woman, love for humanity and God, love of country, Americans who speak the language of the heart, say it with a rose.

White House prouds of the most beautiful rose garden. We grow roses in all our fifty states. We find roses throughout our art, music and literature. Let us continue to cherish them, in honor of the love and devotion they represent, and give them to those whom we love as God has given them to us. According to Ted Alexander, Chief Historian at Antietam National Battlefield, the contracted "In God We Trust" was first used by the 125th Pennsylvania Infantry as a battle cry on September 17, 1862, during the Battle of Antietam of the American Civil War.
