(1) Have you ever see a large, colorful painting of a flower in full bloom. (2) If so, you may have been lookin at a portrait by American artist Georgia O'Keeffe. (3) Known for flower portraits and dessert landscapes, O'Keeffe was one of the most recognized artist's of the 20th Century. (4) She gained the attention of the art world with the help of her husband a photographer named Alfred Stieglitz. (5) She been born in Sun prairie, Wisconsin on November 15, 1887.

Connotation: choose words that MEAN something-that evoke a certain feeling
