What is Model United Nations? simulation of the United Nations system students assume the roles of ambassadors to the United Nations in different committees debating of current issues on the UN's agenda by representing a foreign country meeting young people of different backgrounds from all over the world
What is WorldMUN? Biggest and most famous MUN conference Organized by the Harvard University (18th session) 1650 students from more than 50 countries Takes place in different countries: 2009 >> The Hague
Course structure Course organisation: Rory Costello Working language: English Course start: 3rd quartile, including the attendance at WorldMUN 2009 (22nd- 27th of March) one/ two obligatory lectures per week (eight lectures total)
Course content Information about the United Nations Training of debating and negotiation skills Different guest lectures One written report (position paper for the WorldMUN conference) Course will be worth 5 ECTS
