How to Cite an Interview Personal interviews refer to those interviews that you conduct yourself. List the interview by the name of the interviewee. Include the descriptor Personal interview and the date of the interview. Example: Pearsall, Hollis. Personal interview. 13 Jan. 2000.

Other things to consider: Most reliable sources have authors. If yours doesn’t, double check to see if it’s from a credible source. Alphabetize all entries in your Works Cited by authors’ last names. If there is not an author provided, start with the title.
