Narcissus erat iuvenis fōrmōsus et superbus
Quod Ēchō Iūnōnī nocuerat, vōcem habet sed sōlum respondēre potest
Clāmat Narcissus: `Moriar antequam mē tibi dederō Clāmat Narcissus: `Moriar antequam mē tibi dederō.’ `Tibi mē dederō’ resonat Ēchō et in pudōre sē celat.
Narcissus in undīs sē vīdit et imāginem suī amāvit
`Valē,’ dīxit Narcissus, et in rīpā flūminis iacuit `Valē,’ dīxit Narcissus, et in rīpā flūminis iacuit. `Valē,’ resonāvit Ēchō
