The Hands and Feet of Jesus

“For I was hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.” Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, “Lord, when saw we thee hungered, and fed thee, or thirsty, and gave thee drink? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?” And the King shall answer and say unto them, “Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

The Goal To bring God glory by showing the people of Jackson County His love, through giving.

How do we do this? All it is going to take is a love offering of $1 taken EVERY Sunday morning that will be used to meet the needs of people in the community. These needs can include groceries, utility bill payments, etc. This offering will take place every Sunday morning, and will be used at the end of each month.

Your gift is not limited to $1. Give as you feel led. You can place your gift of $1, or any other amount, in any of the boxes throughout the church during any part of the service. {Lobby areas, Sunday school rooms, etc.} If 90 people give $1 a piece, that would be $360 a month that can be used to help someone in the community.

How are those in need chosen? The guidance of the Holy Spirit. {If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:25} There will be papers in the fellowship hall to list (name, specific need, & contact information) regarding someone who could benefit from this ministry. ***Only put info regarding the individual(s) who will receive help. Please do not disclose your name as the person who recommended someone to this ministry.*** After each Sunday morning service, if any names are placed in the box, we will pray over them & follow the Lord’s guidance.

Helping meet a physical need can open the door to meet a spiritual need. If the person we help is a lost person, we will witness to them. If the person we help is a brother or sister in Christ, we will have a devotion with them.

“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12: 30-31
