Lynn ahrens Composer

Early Life Lynn Ahrens was born on October 1st, 1948 in NYC She graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Journalism and English FUN FACT: She is Jewish

A New Beginning Lynn Ahrens met Stephen Flanerty at the Broadcast Music, Inc. workshop in 1982 and they started working together the next year. Their first collaboration was Bedazzled, based of the 1967 film of the same name, but had to abandon the project when they couldn’t secure the rights. Their first musical on Broadway was Lucky Stiff and opened in 1988

Style Lynn Ahrens is known for a variety of styles. For example Ragtime has a syncopated, or "ragged", rhythm which defines that style. While she’s also done musicals such as Anastasia and Seussical, which all have different styles.
