Updated Activity: Hynek Boulder Watershed Analysis Local problem addressed with GIS GIS skills: surface analysis, classifications, raster to vector, hydrogeology toolset

Progress toward the goal of: make it relevant to students Additional Efforts: Research last 100 year flood (1894). Take historical discharge for two days of flooding and calculate volume water, how much precipitation on watershed. Assess with GIS what would happen today? Population density, emergency services Also assess amount of warning people would have in this event. Assessment – class discussion
