Local adoption and implementation of UEM solutions in the sub- sectors within selected communities, benefiting urban poor men and women in particular 2. More active, effective & gender-sensitive interventions by civil society organizations, academic and research institutes in policy formulation of the selected UEM issues 3. UEM lessons and good practices identified, shared and applied through stakeholder participation and South-South cooperation, in specific regional sub-sector networks and the evaluations of UEM policies/practices. 4. Improved understanding and application of gender equality considerations by UEM academics, researchers, policy makers and implementers across the region

Description: Full scholarships for selected candidates from Canadian ODA eligible countries in SEA to pursue master (22 months) or doctoral studies (36 months) in UEM/AIT. Description: Eligibility of applicants: AIT alumni, preferably UEM, HSD (urban planning), or EE graduates from selected SEA countries; any AIT alumni, who are currently working in UEM-related jobs in the SEA region; UEM sub-sector network members.
