Life Cycle of a Butterfly Directions: This game is played in the slide sorter view of PowerPoint. Students select a slide by clicking on it and then dragging the slide to position it in the correct order of the life cycle. The PowerPoint is saved as a READ ONLY presentation. The original order of the scrambled slides can not be altered. If students are to save their work, they must give it another name such as a their own name. This must be accomplished by using SAVE AS.
Adult butterfly
The final instar becomes a Pupa or a chrysalis.
Instars eat, grow and molt several time until final instar form is reached.
The chrysalis become transparent just before the butterfly hatches.
The organism grows and eats the egg sack when it hatches as the first instar.
Small eggs are laid on the under side of a leaf.
