Praying through the Heart of the Year for the Soul of Our Nation

Prayer Focus Week 8: June 20-26 Increased care for the hungry and homeless, the most vulnerable and needy (Culture)

1. Pray that society will demonstrate increasing compassion toward people trapped in poverty and need. National Day of Prayer Emphasis (Sunday) Pray for our government.

2. Pray for generous giving to agencies that supply help to the homeless, hungry, and abused. National Day of Prayer Emphasis (Monday) Pray for our military.

3. Pray that those looking for jobs will be able to find good employment. National Day of Prayer Emphasis (Tuesday) Pray for our media.

4. Pray for God’s provision and blessing upon homeless shelters and shelters for the abused, neglected, and abandoned. National Day of Prayer Emphasis (Wednesday) Pray for our businesses.

5. Pray that people trapped in the cycle of poverty will be regarded with worth and dignity. National Day of Prayer Emphasis (Thursday) Pray for our schools.

6. Pray for God’s protection and care on victims of natural disasters, crime, and terrorism. National Day of Prayer Emphasis (Friday) Pray for our churches.

7. Pray that indifference toward human need will be replaced by genuine compassion. National Day of Prayer Emphasis (Saturday) Pray for our families.
