Progressions documents Go to http://bit.ly/pcmi16progressions Statistics & Probability, Geometry, Expressions & Equations, Number Systems, Functions, Ratios and Proportional Relationships Reflecting on Practice Park City Mathematics Institute

Learning Progressions Go to the progressions document for your content area. Identify the key concepts for each grade level within that content area. (Include basic definitions, interpretations and approaches to procedures). Find a way to describe or represent how the content changes from grade level to grade level. The eventual goal is to present your findings to everyone. Reflecting on Practice Park City Mathematics Institute

Park City Mathematics Institute Progressions Project By the end of class today you should have a presentation related to your content area that includes: What is different from current practice How the ideas grow from grade to grade beginning in elementary school and extending through high school Any subtle shifts in the ways of thinking about or approaching the content or procedures related to the content what's been added or left out from previous curricula anything surprising implications for teaching Reflecting on Practice Park City Mathematics Institute

Park City Mathematics Institute The "final" product will be posted on the web to share. The result should be organized and presented so that the information that will be useful for those who were not at the presentation.  Reflecting on Practice Park City Mathematics Institute

Park City Mathematics Institute Progressions Project If you have any questions that you're struggling with related to the progressions, write them in your notebook as Bill McCallum, one of the authors of the Progressions, will be with us on July 5.
