Seventh Grade Social Studies: Final Project Unit Seven: Presentations

Final Project: Unit Seven Presentations In groups, you will create a presentation detailing a section from Unit Seven: Meso-America. Your presentation will be used to convey the textbook’s information to your peers, as well as teach them about the peoples and cultures you have studied. The groups will do this by developing lesson plans and creating a work sheet/activity that will be assigned with your presentation. You will need to make your presentations lively, informative, and interesting so that your “students” will be ready for a Unit Test at the conclusion of the presentations.

Final Project: Unit Seven Presentations Requirements A typed outline of all the information you will include in your presentation One original outline per group member A Typed Lesson Plan A Link or Copy of your Presentation: Weebly, Google Sites, Prezi, etc. Power Point, Slides, etc. A worksheet or activity for learners to complete as classwork, and a separate assignment for homework. Five multiple-choice questions on a slide to act as a quiz at conclusion of the lesson Teacher copy with answers

Final Project: Unit Seven Presentations Presentations must include: Eight to ten slides, with five or more pictures All the important information found in the section (no more than 40 words per slide) A link to an outside website or video (must be approved) An imbedded worksheet or activity Can be uploaded to Edlio site, if needed to print at home RQs can not be used as activity, but may be used for homework Presentation must be 10-15 minutes, and ALL group members must share in presentation, as well be able to answer questions from “students” Rubric to Follow

Final Project: Unit Seven Presentations Overall Guidelines All material must be appropriate: Non-offensive images, videos, gifs, links, words and phrases, gestures, questions, discussions, activities, handouts, etc. All material must be lesson focused: No material should be too easy or too difficult Majority of material should come from the textbook IF A PRESENTATION IS DEEMED INAPPROPRIATE AND/OR OFFENSIVE, THEN THE ENTIRE GROUP WILL RECEIVE A ZERO. IN ADDITION, POSSIBLE DISCIPLINARY ACTION WILL BE TAKEN

Final Project: Unit Seven Presentations Total Points Presentation Quiz All presentations will be given on May 29th through June 2nd
