TMG Steering Committee December 4th 2013

Today’s Agenda 2013-2014 Work plan Update XTMF Open Source License Options 3-Year Funding Model Other Business Next meeting: Wednesday, January 8, 2013, 10:00-12:00

WORKPLAN Update 2012 Network almost complete 2011 TTS Data is being processed by Tasha New Estimation Framework almost complete Will be used for both Mode Choice and Network Parameter estimation Is multi-cloud/cluster compatible All of Tasha’s race conditions have been removed Every run with the same parameters will give the same results

XTMF Open Source License Options GPLv3 LGPLv3

GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE v3 XTMF would use this Popular Open Source License Provides requirements for consultants to also produce open source work using a compatible license Enforces no code lock-in so you always own your model Any changes to the XTMF would still have to be open source with a GPL license.

GNU LESSER GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE v3 TMGToolbox would use this Similar to the GPL however this would not enforce consultants to produce GPL compatible code in order to consume the toolbox. Any changes to the TMGToolbox would still have to be open source with a LGPL or GPL license.
