Chronic Illness/Chronic Pain FREE Six-Week Workshop Caregivers welcome You will receive a copy of the book “Living a Health Life with Chronic Conditions” Having the confidence to manage all aspects of life – including emotions and daily activities as well as the medical side. We call these “self-management” skills. This engaging and effective chronic condition self-management program is now available in your community. You are invited Living a healthy life with chronic conditions Who should attend this workshop? You are someone who suffers with chronic pain or a chronic health condition (high blood pressure, arthritis, heart disease, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, asthma/COPD, diabetes, obesity etc.); your spouse or your caregiver is also welcome to come. You are interested in learning how to better manage your chronic condition. Topics covered include: Dealing with emotions Communication Physical activity Making treatment decisions Breathing and relaxation Medications Healthy eating Working effectively with your health care professionals Pre-registration required.
