Highlands Kenya

Masai background The Masai men are known for herding indigenous cows, goats, and sheep. The Masai women occupy a submissive role in the masai culture This effects the way children are allowed to go to school because boys are given the first priority of purchase of books and uniforms.

Ed Colina www.edcolinafoundation.org Ed Colina has been involved in educational projects for 26 years You can trust this foundation because for example he helped supply a school with enough food for 190 students. He has helped over 13 different for schools in Africa. You can help make this number higher by donating, won’t you help. www.edcolinafoundation.org

Facts Girls have a disadvantage to go to school due to a number of chores they have to do at home before beginning the trek to school. Many children are sent home from school due to lack of books and uniforms. Many Masai children are not going to school until age 10 or 11 if at all.

This is where the school is going to be built This is where the school is going to be built. This school is going to support as many children as possible in Kenya.

Literacy Rate

Why you should donate At the school they get one meal a day There are many little children going to this school like 3 to 6 year olds. These children are soon going to have a school to go to. During the day they are going to have stuff to do.
