Fourth five year plan 1946-50 Aimed to restore 1940 production levels. It was very successful using 2 million slave workers as well as taking resources from East Germany and Europe.

After the war Stalin rarely appeared in public. 2nd March 1953 he suffered a brain haemorrhage. His doctor was not there as he had been arrested a year earlier to telling Stalin to rest and start taking it easy. Servant so frightened they did not help him 5th March he died
