December 10 to December 14 Miss Saglimbeni Pre – K 3 nsaglimbeni@stlucys.org 718-882-2203 December 10 to December 14 Fun at Home: Talk with your child about clothes. Examine the fabrics together and discuss how the clothes were made. Look at the labels to find out where the clothes were made and identify the fabric. Look at the pictures from the past and note how the clothing differs from clothing today. Teach your child to stitch. Use a large plastic needle and yarn; make stitches on burlap or felt. When you shop for clothes, help your child notice how clothes are organized in the store and offer a simple explanation of how you compare prices. This week we will be discussing the following, What are the features of clothes? The students will be able to talk about the different types of clothing, colors, and different types of fabric. We will also talk about how to put clothes on and take them off. We will compare the different types of clothing we see everyday. This week we will be discussing and exploring the holiday of Kwanzaa.
