Even if you've been installing humidifiers for 20 years, it is important to recognize that TrueSTEAM is a new technology that requires new approaches to quoting, installing, commissioning and maintaining each unit. This module will provide a brief overview of what can be found in each of the following six modules. Module 2: Selecting & Sizing Understanding Industry Standards & Guidelines for sizing Calculating a home's humidity load requirements Trade-offs of different humidifier types Module 2 will give you the information you need to make sure you select and size the right humidification solution for every home. Included is a detailed explanation of industry standards and guidelines for sizing - as well as how to calculate humidity load requirements - which can be different for every home. By understanding proper specifications for humidification, you can make educated decisions on what TrueSTEAM or other type of humidifier to use for each job. Module 3: Basic Installation Basic application definition What’s in the box What tools are needed Step-by-step instruction Best practices and common mistakes to avoid. Module 3 takes you through the steps for a basic TrueSTEAM installation. Basic installation is any application where the equipment is located in an unfinished space with access to a main floor drain, and where TrueSTEAM will be mounted directly to the ductwork. In addition to outlining step-by-step instructions to basic installation, this module provides best practices and cautionary measures for avoiding common installation mistakes.
