Presentation transcript:

Warm Up 10/16 Answer these questions: How did watching the documentary yesterday enhance your understanding of the soldier’s experience in Vietnam? What questions do you still have? Based on what you know right now, how would you compare the experience of a soldier in Vietnam to that of a present-day soldier?

Learning Targets To add to our understanding of the soldier’s experience by looking at the trailer for the documentary Restrepo and also Afghanistan: The Forgotten War. To compare and contrast the soldier’s experience in Vietnam to that of a current-day soldier.

Afghanistan: The Forgotten War Watch this documentary to see what we can infer about the current-day soldier’s experience.

Compare/Contrast Draw a Venn Diagram to illustrate the differences/similarities between the experiences of soldiers in Vietnam versus those in Afghanistan or Iraq.

In your journal, Respond to these questions in 3-5 sentences. How did these two film activities enhance your experience in working within this unit? What do you take away from it?
