Unit 4: What makes you scream? Edvard Munch, The Scream, 1893

Edvard Munch started a new artistic movement: EXPRESSIONISM Munch said: “I want to paint living people, breathing and feeling, suffering and loving.” What do you think he meant by that?

His most famouse painting is: THE SCREAM

Describe the picture: What can you see? Does he or she have hair? A man or a woman screaming. Does he or she have hair?

Where is he? What is it? He is on a bridge. It is a RIVER. There are two persons on the bridge. They look like ghosts.

What color is the sky? RED ORANGE
