“Giving Everything to the Lord” While this expression is not found in the Bible, the thought is there. We need to think about what this idea means. Furthermore, what it should mean for our way of living.

“Giving Everything to the Lord” (Eccl. 2:24; 12:13-14)

Giving Everything to the Lord I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. ~ Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV)

I am not to neglect the particular responsibilities I owe God; I am to do no deeds that God does not approve; I am to be guided by God in all things. (Rom. 14:8; Eph. 4, 5, 6)

How can we give ALL to the Lord? Is our thinking to be given to the Lord? Are my words to be given to the Lord? Is my every deed to be devoted to Him? Is my life to be given to Him? How do I give my life to God? By doing God’s will, even if it requires sacrifice and loss. (1 Cor. 6:20; Lk. 9:23-25)
