curriculum coverage The F1 teacher will work with the Foundation Stage Leader to ensure that provision is in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance. Prime areas will be covered daily Characteristics of effective learning encouraged via demonstration, familiarity and independence The Characteristics of Effective Learning and the prime and specific Areas of Learning and Development are all interconnected.

plans for lunchtimes At 11:40 your child will be taken to have a 30 minute lunch with a Teaching Assistant. This will be a packed lunch provided by you The children will eat their lunch in the main school corridor and remain with the Teaching Assistant at all times. (When finished eating, they will play on the main school playground either on the pirate play area, tyre system, Forest School area, field or playground. They will experience a range of activities such as story time, gross motor skills with equipment or on play areas and creative tasks such as chalking, etc. This will be planned by the Foundation Stage 1 teacher, taking into account the children’s needs, interests and levels of development).

timetables Monday “more fun” Your child will join the other (morning) children from 8:40-11:40am every day. They will have a key worker assigned to them. (A Teaching Assistant) The F1 teacher will teach all children attending in the mornings equally whether they are attending 15 hours or 30 hours. The teacher will plan all activities and provision. Monday “more fun” Extended day- free flow of F1 classroom. Child initiated & theme tasks. Tuesday “chill” Yoga and relaxation, storytelling, art and creative tasks, speaking & listening Wednesday “wild” Extra forest school session Thursday “theme” Theme tasks, large scale, team work, gross motor skills. Friday “physical” ONLY 30 MINS- PE

SIGN UP SHEET If you sign up for a place at this meeting, you are agreeing to accept our model of provision and we will inform you within the following 7 days as to whether your child has succeeded in being allocated a place with us. We will then be contacting you again to discuss visits, start dates, staffing and the finer details of the 30 hour provision. (Please note, we require 13 children to attend in order for us to go ahead)
