Mutual funds A fund created for a group of investors to pool their money. These funds allow the group as a whole to go after larger investments. Consider a single person may not have enough money to buy 100 shares of Google stock ($1171.60 at last glance) A group of 50 people might have enough money to cover the amount however A professional takes control over the funds to decided what stocks and bonds to purchase/sell You do not have to be an expert to invest But if something goes wrong, all investors will share the pain
