THE GREAT THANKSGIVING   PASTOR: The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you. ALL: And also with you. PASTOR: Lift your hearts to the Lord. ALL: Let us give our thanks and praise to God.

PASTOR: It is right, always and everywhere to give thanks to you, Father God Almighty. You are supreme in majesty. You are always good. You give so abundantly. You are full of grace and truth. You are the source of all life. And so we share in the song of heaven and earth:

ALL: HOLY, HOLY, HOLY LORD. God of power and might ALL: HOLY, HOLY, HOLY LORD! God of power and might! Heaven and earth are full of your glory! Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest! Glory to God on High!

PASTOR: On the night that Jesus gave himself up for us PASTOR: On the night that Jesus gave himself up for us. He gathered in the upper room with His disciples. He took bread. Gave thanks to you, O’ God. Then he broke the bread. He gave it to his disciples and said, “This is my Body given for you. Eat this in remembrance of me.”   .

And when the supper was over. Jesus took the cup of wine And when the supper was over. Jesus took the cup of wine. He again gave thanks to you, O’ God. He then said to his disciples, “Drink from this all of you. This is my blood. The blood of the new covenant poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sin. Do this often as you remember me.”   .

ALL: CHRIST HAS DIED, CHRIST HAS RISEN, CHRIST WILL COME AGAIN. PASTOR: And so we proclaim the mystery that is our faith.   ALL: CHRIST HAS DIED, CHRIST HAS RISEN, CHRIST WILL COME AGAIN.

PASTOR: Pour out your Holy Spirit on these gifts of bread and wine PASTOR: Pour out your Holy Spirit on these gifts of bread and wine. Make them be for us the body and blood of Christ. May you do a mighty work of grace in us this day.  

ALL: Make us one with Christ ALL: Make us one with Christ. Make us one in ministry to all the world until Jesus comes back for us, or until we feast in the heavenly places. In Jesus name. All honor and glory is Yours almighty Father; now and forever. Amen.

POINT 1: Service is where we put ourselves on the line to do something — to be the body of Christ incarnate.  .

Colossians 3:23-24. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as if you are working for the Lord…and not for human leaders. Because you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward for your service. Remember it is the Lord that you are ultimately serving.

POINT 2: We serve one another. -JOHN 13:12-17; 31-35. .

SERMON POINT: I need you to consider how you will serve in the church and in the world.  

Confession & Pardon   PASTOR: Lord, we confess our weaknesses are many. We often allow pride and arrogance to replace humility and servant-hood. Create in us a pure heart. Give us the desire to follow Christ. ALL: Heal us with the power of Christ. Open our eyes to see the truth of Your great power. Free us from selfishness to selfless service in Your kingdom here on earth.
