D&WRFU FUNDING Dorset & Wilts Rugby Football Union Limited Working Together to Grow Rugby in Dorset and Wiltshire

Finance & Funding For Community Rugby Clubs Funding is critical in the development of all rugby clubs. All aspects of a club’s operations, from developing facilities to providing kit or from complying with health and safety regulations to securing equipment for the junior teams, are determined by their funding.  Funding is important for community rugby clubs, both in terms of long term planning and revenue for day-to-day costs incurred by running the team and community facilities.

WHAT FUNDING IS AVAILABLE FROM D&WRFU For 2017 – 2018 we have six grants available

TO ENCOURAGE AND TO DEVELOP THE CLUB’S INFRASTRUCTURE GRANTS ONE TO ENCOURAGE AND TO DEVELOP THE CLUB’S INFRASTRUCTURE By supporting club’s sustainability by allowing them to develop a programme of planned events to increase membership numbers, both as players and volunteers. Clubs will need to summit an action plan and if the grant is approved copies of all invoices for payment. Subject to the D&WRFU Terms and Conditions. Closing date 31st January 2018.

RUGBY GROUNDSMAN CONNECTED PROGRAMME GRANT TWO RUGBY GROUNDSMAN CONNECTED PROGRAMME To offer potential access to Twickenham staff and Industry partners in obtaining advice, product discounts and services in support of the club’s pitch maintenance programme which in turn will produce better playing surfaces and enabling more games to take place. Clubs will need to summit an action plan and if the grant is approved copies of all invoices for payment. Subject to the D&WRFU Terms and Conditions. Closing date 31st January 2018.

TO HELP IMPROVE THE SAFETY OF ALL PLAYERS GRANT THREE TO HELP IMPROVE THE SAFETY OF ALL PLAYERS The replacement old and often poor condition equipment which will to help improve the safety of all players and spectators. Clubs will need to summit an action plan and if the grant is approved copies of all invoices for payment. Subject to the D&WRFU Terms and Conditions. Closing date 31st January 2018.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAMME GRANT FOUR ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAMME Offer support to clubs in sourcing the best energy tariffs, renewable energy equipment, simply energy saving tips and advice from the RFU's Sustainability Manager and industry partners. Clubs to produce a simple action plan and carry out their own club audit to identify methods to save wasted energy and subsequently money. Clubs will need to summit an action plan and if the grant is approved copies of all invoices for payment. Subject to the D&WRFU Terms and Conditions. Closing date 31st January 2018.

INCREASE THE STANDARD AND NUMBERS OF COACHES AT BOTH SCHOOLS AND CLUBS GRANT FIVE INCREASE THE STANDARD AND NUMBERS OF COACHES AT BOTH SCHOOLS AND CLUBS Using the RFU Training Programme, D&W is offering a grant of 50% towards the cost of your coaching award subject to the D&W Terms and Conditions. GRANT SIX INCREASE THE STANDARD AND NUMBERS OF REFEREES AT BOTH SCHOOLS AND CLUBS Using the RFU Training Programme, D&W is offering a grant of 50% towards the cost of your coaching award subject to the D&W Terms and Conditions. Clubs will be reimbursed against the data spreadsheet supplied by the RFU Training Officer - less any VAT element. The full Terms and Conditions of a D&WRFU grant 1. The club will have complied with the terms of membership of the Dorset & Wilts Rugby Football Union Limited (D&WRFU Ltd). a) Club Subscription paid. b) Copy of your clubs latest Trading Accounts supplied to the D&W Treasurer. 2. Your Club Development plan and other accreditation documentation to be made available on request. 3. Additional information that your club may be asked to provide or comment on. a) The Whole Club Discipline Record b) County Support c) Passed Applications d) GMS compliant

4. By (insert date) the club to give a signed undertaking that they will carry out the work or the offer expires, and funding will be reallocated. Unless an alternative date is agreed in writing by D&WRFU Ltd, all work is to be completed by (Insert date). If the work is not completed by this date financial or non-financial Sanctions may be applied. This may include reducing the award value in proportion to overall spending for the project based on the original balance of financial contributions. This grant is to be club not less than matched funded (One Pound of funding from your club equals or is greater than One Pound of funding from the D&WRFU Ltd). 6. We reserve the right to withdraw this offer at any time. 7. All costs associated with project delivery are to be met by the club which shall include the full VAT element of the project properly due. (invoice will be the club’s responsibility).

8. D&WRFU Ltd will monitor work to ensure funds are used for the purposes identified by the club in its application and may ask the club to substantiate the work and its cost (s) prior to payment. 9. We reserve the right to announce details of this award at any time on our website and all social media platforms. 10. The club shall provide D&WRFU Ltd with a short report and photographs on or within 1 month of project completion, which would then be no later than 30th June 2019 identifying its performance against project aims, and overall outturn of costs.
