Homework Homework will be completed in a homework book again this year. We expect the same standard of presentation as would be expected in school. Please follow the presentation guidance in the book. If the work is not up to standard children will be asked to re-write in their own time. Children should be given a sensible amount of time to complete their homework as we are after quality rather than quantity. This year there will only be a focus of spellings, with sentences, times tables and reading 5 times a week. Spellings: Lists handed out on Friday Spelling test on Friday Maths: New maths task sheet given out on Friday, due in Wednesday. Homework book: Given out on Friday Hand in on Wednesday If a child is struggling with any aspect of the homework please contact the class teacher or send them back in with their homework.

Reading In school: Reading Lessons Individual readers Library books following the book lists (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) At home: Reading Diary. Aim to read with your child or question them on the text 5 times a week and sign and record in their reading diary. Across school and home a wide variety of genres and media should be covered and to read for pleasure

Maths In school: Maths No Problem Workbook Maths Journal At home: Times Tables Rockstars Times Table Practice New Homework Tasks Can-do attitude
