POWER AND AUTHORITY History is made by the people and institutions in power. Who holds the power? How did they get it? System of government used to provide order? How is power kept? Or lost? WORLD HISTORY THEMES

RELIGIOUS AND ETHICAL SYSTEMS Throughout history humans have been guided by their religious and ethical beliefs. What beliefs are held by the majority of people in a region? How do these beliefs differ? How do the groups interact? How are outsiders treated? WORLD HISTORY THEMES

REVOLUTION Great change has often times only been accomplished through the use of force. What long term institutions or ideas are being overthrown? What caused people to make a radical change? What are the results of the change? WORLD HISTORY THEMES

INTERACTION WITH ENVIRONMENT Humans have had to interact with their environment in order to survive. How do people adapt to the climate and terrain where they live?
