What is HOSA? Serving future health professionals since 1976, HOSA was created with the idea of providing students opportunities to develop as a leader and a future employee. With over 200,000 members across the nation, it is safe to say that HOSA has met our mission! Georgia HOSA created in 2000, now serves over 14,000 members. HOSA creates driven, determined student leaders that are excited about healthcare and all that HOSA has to offer. Above all, HOSA is a tool-a tool vital to the success of students, teachers, and health professionals. HOSA is 100% healthcare and connects all hubs of the healthcare field. One experience ignites another creating a chain reaction between those who teach, learn, and do.

Mission of HOSA The mission of HOSA is to enhance the delivery of compassionate, quality healthcare by providing opportunities for knowledge, skill and leadership development of all health science technology education students, therefore, helping students to meet the needs of the healthcare community.

Why even join HOSA? HOSA operates as an integral component of the health science education curriculum. Through its network of state and local chapters, HOSA provides powerful instructional tools, recognition, leadership, networking, scholarships, and connections to the healthcare industry to thousands of members across the United States.

HOSA Week Week to celebrate and raise awareness of health science, HOSA, and the national service project, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

Fall Leadership Conference Through the Fall Leadership Conference, you have the opportunity to gain skills in leadership through several competitive events, sessions and workshops. Fall semester momentum peaks at FLC as members, advisors, and guests come together to celebrate their success and develop their leader within! In addition to the incredible leadership workshops, exhibitors, HOSA dance and exciting and inspiring general sessions, students will receive a HOSA t-shirt with their registration.

State Qualification Testing HOSA makes getting started with the National Competitive Events Program simple with online testing for State Qualification Testing. Before you can bring that gold medal home from the State Leadership Conference in March, you first have to place as one of the top 50 in the state in January. Not all competitions require a State Qualification Test, but the majority of them do, and it is a great experience for students to be a part of. The ease of taking the test on a computer at your school for a small cost makes State Qualification Testing well worth the little investment!

State Leadership Conference It is time when over 4,200 members, advisors, and guests flock towards Atlanta, Georgia to give it their all at this celebration of the end of another successful Georgia HOSA year. Victors are medaled, officers are sworn in, and scholarships are presented during this conference busting at the seams with excitement.

International Leadership Conference The pinnacle of summer for anyone involved in HOSA is attending the International Leadership Conference! With every international association including Puerto Rico, Italy, Mexico, Canada and more coming together to celebrate the success of members from across the World, the excitement that is found at ILC cannot be matched anywhere else! Some of the country’s leading healthcare industries trek out to this conference to present symposiums and exhibits to the future of healthcare. Will be in Dallas, Texas on June 20-23. YOU MUST PLACE IN TOP THREE IN STATE TO GO TO ILC.
