Technology and the cLASSROOM Tiffany Allen

tECHNOLOGY Technology is important to use in the 21st century classroom I am able to work with: iPhone, iPad, laptops ,computers, creating blogs, creating websites, working with PowerPoint, word, excel, taking pictures and etc.. I believe that technology is important for learning and can build team work and it’s a fun way to engage students in learning

A GLOBAL OUTLOOK Technology is used globally and we must prepare our students to be able to use It has changed teachers roles to that of facilitator rather than “teacher” We must develop students creative thinking skills by asking THEM questions and guiding them to the answers

In the classroom I want to use: iPad for leaning games the camera for students to make videos and take pictures of things that apply to learning Podcasts for practicing speeches Online quizzes QR codes for easy access to websites and long documents Computers/laptops for student research and access to online material Classroom blogs for communication with parents and staff Using blogs to also post videos for students to view at home it they are struggling with homework

Technology and Change Technology is constantly changing, and as a teacher it is my job to say up to date I want to keep up with tech trends by reading, learning how to use it, and try to integrate it into my classroom
