Question Time What have you been doing during the vacation? What did you do for New Year’s ? Do you plan on doing anything interesting this semester? Have you decided what to do in the future? Is your semester schedule as good as last semester? Don’t you think it’s great to be back at Uni? How are good grades gotten? What are some bad manners or habits you have? What are you supposed to do after class? Do you think we’ll get through the semester okay?

Tips Try to practice a little every day. (study smart) Study less and practice more. (consistency) Cross-train & scaffolding. Self-correction and peer correction. Be positive and get rid of your shyness. Making mistakes is part of the process... Speak more. Form a group and practice outside class. Go to Global Zone.. Come and see me.. (make opportunities) Use different sentence structures and say things in 2 different ways to explain.

How to do well... This is an active class with partner swaps and activities that require you to be involved... Join in class activities. Talk to me in class ... Ask for help / clarification. Do the practice exams I make for you. Help yourself. Take responsibility. Practice reciprocity. In the oral exams, show me a range of the language we’ve studied.
