How does your produce use or challenge conventions, and how does it represent social groups or issues we challenged the convention of fear and bad decision making, by having two kids planning to go inside and abandoned house then it goes all wrong. Our filmed is aimed towards teenagers and why they shouldn’t mess around with other peoples houses at night because bad things can happen. Kids all over the world make stupid decisions that can get them in trouble. This film we created was to emote fear in the audience but also to show the kids all around not to screw around with other peoples property especially if you don’t know who lives there or if you don’t know anything about the house. Also at an age were you're neither an adult nor a child you must make the absolute correct decisions at that stage in life. Often kids around this age like to make stupid decisions and are easily influenced by friends or they go through peer pressure which again will cause them to make stupid and wrong decisions. Since teenagers rains aren't fully developed and they don’t fully think about the situation they're in it will cause them to just act without thinking. If I was put in these kids positions I would make the correct decisions because I like to fully think through the situation and I don’t like to be in bad positions that can possibly get me in jail or grounded. As well as Dominic he would not make bad decisions and he would be right there with me.

How does your produce use or challenge conventions, and how does it represent social groups or issues (Cont) As stated we used to average teenage boys that made a very bad decision and it ended up stirring u consequences and now nobody is there to help them so now two kids disappeared and nobody knows where they are at so nobody can come help and save them, now this is going to cause an emotional uproar within the families because two of there boys have disappeared so they are automatically think that they are dead and they will go crazy and they will be super depressed for a long time and they wont be able to live with them self's knowing they let there boys wonder off by themselves. The worst part is they wont even know what happened to there kids so that will create some fear in the parents because they wont know if they were tortured or if they were put down quickly or they might think the kids aren't even dead and they will start to spend money to find the kids.

How does your Product Engage with Audiences and how would it be Distributed as a Real Media Text? Our video engaged with teenagers more them any other age group. It engages with more of the teenager audience because they are able to related to the situation of wanting to go to an abandoned house either because they want to show off to their friends that they have gone to a place that has been abandoned or just because they think it is a cool place to go to when they are bored or just to get their adrenaline going because it is so scary. Another reason why it tends to engage with more of the teenage age group is because when Devin walks away and then disappears it worries me what happened to him, this connects more to teenagers because they don’t want to see one of their best friends to be with them one second and then disappear the next so when this happens it causes me to enter the house to see if he ran in the house to try to mess with me but in the end it ends up that Devin didn’t go anywhere but to trick me that he was in trouble but really he was just crazy and wound up wanting to either hurt me or kill me and an abandoned house was the perfect spot for him to plan it. Lastly our video engaged with teenagers because the people that created the video and acted in the video are teenagers so they are able connect with it and the P.O.V. shots helped create the feeling that they were the ones in my shoes and they were trying to go through the abandoned to find their friend that just disappeared suddenly.

How does your Product Engage with Audiences and how would it be Distributed as a Real Media Text? (Cont.) For our video we have come up with multiple ways that it can be distributed as a real media text. The first way we decided for it to be distributed was for it to go into the theatres first to see who really wants to see it and also to see how people like it and what kind of reviews it would receive from critics. After it being in the movie theatres for the average 10-16 weeks we decided if it was doing well and people were really liking it we would move it to the online media websites for people that either haven’t seen it because they weren't able to get the movies and also for the people that liked it s much that they would like to see it again even after it is not in the movies anymore. We would release it on websites like Netflix, Hulu, and other popular movie streaming websites because if we released it on not so popular websites it wouldn’t receive as many views as if it was on a popular one and the movie wouldn’t make it very far.

How did your production skills develop thought the project Me and Dominic both got a lot of practice when using the tripod and when doing a handheld and trying to keep the camera as still as possible. We also learned how to use lighting to our advantage as we were filming in the dark because we are trying to promote fear into the people watching our film. Before making this film me and Dominic have only filmed once together. We have defiantly gained more skill since the production of that last film and as we continue to make films we will get better and better with the software we use and with the camera angles and shots we use. Editing was the most labor intensive part as we did not know which shots would be most essential for our film. We are using a very professional editing system and these projects have really enhanced our skill on this editing system.

How did you integrate technologies-Software, Hardware and online- in this project Me and Dominic used a variety of different technology throughout this project and we have familiarized most of them. For our editing system we used very, professional one called Sony Vegas Pro 13. Its retail price is 479.99. It is a very hard system to get familiar with but once you know the basics and start to use the system a lot you will easily learn the ways through the system . For our camera we used the Canon Rebel t5i. With that camera we used both a long and short lense the shorter one obviously used for more of the close up shots and the long lense for more of the farther away shots. We also used a Opteka X-Grip used for our handheld shots while navigating through the house. Along with the grip and the camera we also used a Sony VCT-R100 Tripod This made It possible for me and Dominic to be in the shot at the same time with each other and it kept the camera nice and sturdy. Next we used a rode microphone to capture our sound even better than the camera was it did muffle the noise a bit when Dominic was running through the house but other than that the microphone did a great job with picking up every little movement and noise that went on throughout the scenes of our movie. We also used websites to get scores and stings from.
