Robert Wyland was Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1956. He enjoyed art at an early age. He loved to draw dinosaurs at the age of 3.

When he was a child he saw a T. V When he was a child he saw a T.V. program where Jacques Cousteau: (the Deep Sea Explorer)encountered whales. Wyland decided that he wanted to be a scientist and study marine life just like Captain Cousteau. Captain Cousteau is still the main influence in Wyland’s belief in caring for the environment.
