Capri and the Amalfi coast near Naples

SICILY Sicily (Sicilia in Italian) is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. About 5 million people live on the island. It is full of archaelogical and natural wonders. You can also find Mount Etna, the tallest and most active volcano in Europe. Palermo is its capital city

Palermo The whole city, with its history, has a multiplicity of forms and techniques, including the Roman, Norman, Greek, Arabic, even with the addition of the Sicilian Baroque

The Cathedral The Cathedral of Palermo built in 1185,is the monument that best tells the story of the city through its construction events: a history of stone, a magnificent jewel that stands on the site of a Christian basilica, transformed into a mosque by the Arabs.

The Martorana Church

La Martorana Church Founded in 1143 by George of Antioch, an admiral of Roger II in Aragonese age was given to the Benedictine monastery founded by Eloisa Martorana. This became known for the preparation of marzipan fruits. Inside the church are magnificent Byzantine mosaics.
