Use the Boolean operators AND, OR and NOT to combine search terms AND : all terms must occur (restrict) computers AND education OR : at least one of the terms must occur (expand) computers OR education NOT : a term must not occur (restrict) computers NOT education green = search result

contains all search terms AND = each result contains all search terms Example: relations between alcohol consumption and religion for students

Type the truncated (*) search terms student* relig* alcohol* Type the truncated (*) search terms

OR = each result contains at least one search term cartoons comics OR = each result contains at least one search term
