El Enebral Palace

The 18th century palace has been privately owned since 1870 and is spread over 28 hectares(283,400 m2) with 20 buildings including a chapel. Some of the buildings are in need of internal renovation especially the palace, but are perfectly sound structurally. There is permission to convert to a hotel. The estate may be divided into various smaller plots. The property has its own power line, water, six drinking wells, telephone and natural gas. The chapel on the estate was built in the Herrerian style. It seats 100 people and is set in an area overlooking the Monastery and the entire town of El Escorial. It is an ideal place for private religious worship and can be used for weddings, first communions and baptisms.

The adjacent plots are home to the former tennis courts, a site that could be now used to build a hunting pavilion or one for hosting a variety of events such as weddings, business meetings etc. The various buildings on the estate include a number of homes, warehouses, stables, industrial buildings, wells etc, all of which are made of stone. A large number of the buildings also have views overlooking El Escorial and could be converted for any number of uses.

The views of the municipality of El Escorial and the property as a whole from the terrace of the palace are truly fantastic and there is no more magnificent or impressive location to see the El Escorial Monastery which was the palace and Basilica of the HM King Philip 11 of Spain in the 16 th century. This makes El Enebral palace the most exclusive estate in El Escorial and virtually the entire autonomous community of Madrid. The property is available as an upscale private estate or for development as a world-class resort or business center. It is large enough to develop a golf course with up to nine holes and has six wells authorized by the Tagus River Basin Authority. The construction of equestrian facilities and other sports facilities is also authorized.

The Estate The estate is fully fenced and has no rights of way or access. It is populated with junipers, oaks, ash, ilex, almond and chestnut trees and rock rose shrubs. The fauna found in the area is mainly wild boar, roe deer, rabbits, red squirrels, foxes etc as well as eagles, eagle owls and vultures. The area has horse riding, excellent restaurants, theaters, hospitals, museums, cafes and clubs. El Escorial is the only place in the Madrid community where the four seasons are clearly distinguishable from one another and have distinct climates (hot summers, warm autumns cold winters and pleasant spring).
