A Current Look at Falls LAFallsPrevention.Org In the U.S. – 2.5 million seniors visit the Emergency Room for a fall injury every year (CDC) At least 250,000 people (65yrs. And older) visit the hospital for a hip fracture each year. (CDC, 2016) In County of LA, 2013 there were 19,312 non-fatal hospitalization and 287 deaths in our senior population due to falls.
