Philosophy

About me! This is my tenth year at THMS Algebra and Stats are my favorite subject I have lived in Tucson my whole life and love it here! Things I enjoy

Availability After school basically every day Conference Period Friday BPH

Basic Outline of Grades (Algebra) 60%- Tests/Quizzes/Assessments 25%- Classwork/Homework 15%- Final Exam

Homework Homework is practice and is assessed daily

Basic Outline of Grades (AP Statistics) Tests (about 6 a semester, worth 100 pts each) Homework Projects (about one per semester, worth 100 pts each)

AP Stats Exam When: Thursday, May 16 (afternoon) Benefits: COLLEGE CREDIT!!!! (3,4,or 5) During 2nd semester, if you take AP exam, I will drop lowest test score. Success rate?

Basic Outline of Grades (Probability & Statistics) Weekly Quizzes- 40% Weekly Homework & Projects – 30% Midterm Test – 15% Final Exam – 15%

Classwork/Participation It is essential that every student does the classwork. This is our time to figure out the math. Very collaborative environment

Tests/Quizzes (Algebra) 4 major tests in the semester They are worth usually100 points Quizzes will occur throughout the year at varying times They can be worth as little as just a check mark or as much as 50 points Tests and Quizzes will be 70% of your grade Retakes One test per quarter- can earn up to 80%

Final Exam We will take a common final and common tests This means that every other Algebra student is taking the same type of test. This will include multiple choice and free response questions
