Hernando Cortes was born in Medillin, Spain in 1485.

Cortes’s parents made him go to school at the age of 14.

Hernando Cortes sailed to Cuba in 1504.

Gold, silver, other riches? He heard rumors about gold, silver, and other riches that the Indians had. Have you heard about gold, silver, and other riches that the Indians have. Gold, silver, other riches?

He sailed to Mexico with 500 men, and 100 trained sailors.

When Hernando Cortes reached Santo Mingo, a war began between his crew and the Natives.

Later, Aztecs greeted Cortes and gave him silver and gold disks, believing that he was their God.

Cortes decided to capture Tenochtitlan to make a colony of his own.

On November 8, 1519, Cortes and his men challenged the Native force, and took the Aztec leader as hostage.

In July, 1520, the Aztecs fought back at Noche Triste.

On August 13, 1521, was the day when the Aztec Empire was destroyed by Cortes and his men.

He returned to Spain after that, and got the title Marquis of the Oaxaca Valley.

Cortes died near Seville on December 2, 1547.
