Choices 1 Peter 5:5-11

Practice Humility (5:5-6) The real thing, not pretense “Be clothed with humility” “Be subject one to another” “Under the mighty hand of God” God’s mighty hand (Rom. 1:16) Useful in our service (1 Peter 3:4; Phil. 2:3-4)

Trust God’s Care (5:7) Christians are to be rejoicing (Phil. 4:4) There are things that we cannot control (Matt. 6:25-34) However, we can have a superior peace (Phil. 4:6-7)

Dealing With The Devil (5:8-9) Made aware of his procedure (2 Cor. 2:11) What you encounter is NOT extraordinary (1 Cor. 10:13; 1 Peter 4:12) We can resist the devil (cf. James 4:7) By being sober (clear minded) By being vigilant (watchful) In the faith (cf. Eph. 6:11, 16)

Called To Eternal Glory (5:10) God calls through the gospel (2 Thess. 2:14). At the completion of our faith (1 Peter 1:9) Includes honor and immortality (Rom. 2:7)
