We are an all-embracing national partnership funded directly by Government through the Union Learning Fund and the Association of Teachers and Lecturers.

Transformers Project Purpose : To raise the profile and professionalism of the vocational educator workforce…the Transformers The project offers space for vital research, dialogue, peer support and resources for important work based teaching and learning developments It will help shape the future of work based learning and development by generating increased inclusion in finding sustainable solutions.

We have developed confidential on –line surveys for employers, employees, learning providers and learners. The data from the surveys generates a free personalised workforce development and productivity report. The focus is about identifying the high level existing skills/attributes that are used in a workplace to help provoke refreshed thinking……….

Refreshed thinking about: Workforce recruitment Workforce development Apprenticeships – recruitment and development Working with learning providers or in-house development/training teams Working innovatively in collaboration across sector networks

The Transformers Project work based success Report and project engagement used as PR (news item on website) Report shared with BSI Quality Auditors with positive outcome Introduction of new appraisal system based on survey results Enhanced job role developed to manage new recruits induction and training Wages increased throughout operational team

Transformers project E-Survey tools and how they could be applied to a Model of Scholarship (E. Boyer 1990) Integrative Discovering ways that new knowledge can be used to solve real (world) problems. eg. Co-design of skill needs. Applied Integration of knowledge from different sources.eg. developing new curricula. Discovery search for ‘new’ knowledge: e.g. using data to answer new hypotheses. Teaching sharing with others: e.g. pedagogies of the workplace.
