Getting academics involved How does your institution engage teaching staff in the student representation and partnership process? What works well? Examples include: Training (PgCert HE) Rewards and recognition (Inspirational Teacher Award) Institutional commitment (e.g. University USP or mission statement) Staff will often complain about low student take-up of rep roles and other extra-curricular activity, but there is a flip side to this.Students have the most direct relationships with their academic staff but academics are often hard to engage in the student partnership process. ~How does this work in your area?
