Figure 1 M2 Macrophages and Type 2 Immunity Promote Lung Regeneration post PNX Time course of compensatory, regenerative growth in the remaining lung lobes after PTX. Compensation is accompanied by significant cell proliferation, growth factors, and matrix formation. This is facilitated by resident macrophages and recruited CCR2+ myeloid cells, in the presence of IL-13 secreted from ILC2 to promote neoalveolarizatoin post PNX.
