Preparing for class (4:00 – 6:30) Reviewing notes Previewing the textbook When in doubt write it down (7:00 – 8:00) Use abbreviations (8:00 – 17:00) Create a cheat sheet for each chapter’s terms Leave out unimportant words Know your instructor (17:00-27:00) Understand your teachers lecture style Show the teacher your notes for feedback Ask: Are the notes good for the class ? Am I on the right track? Ask: Can you show me an example of where I messed up? In this class if I say the words for example then write what I say next.
