Example for HANDiCLIP electronic device: Remote control for iPOD / MP3 player with volume- (up/down), skip- (forward/rewind), play/pause-control.. by Dr. Carsten Mehring

Design I: Easy-Read Watch/Electronic Device on Self-Adhesive Disposable Patch Example describes a Patch-Watch. However, the methodology can be applied to other personal electronic devices. Watch case mounted on flexible (cloth-like) material carrying on its back adhesive glue to attach to human skin. (Similar to patches used for attachment of medical electrodes to human body for EKG measurement for example.) Preferred watch location for easy reading: between the metacarpal bones of the thumb and the index finger. Control buttons / membrane switches for timing device*) Self-adhesive Patch(es) with mounting plate(s) for watch case and control buttons *) to be pushed by index/middle/ring finger(s) B Watch dial/ View- window/ Screen Watch case and attached flexible membrane leading to membrane switches for manipulation of watch functions. by Dr. Carsten Mehring

ergo - glove-type Ergonomic / hands-free activation of remote control or miniaturized electronic device worn on the user’s hand or wrist. In case of remote control, the latter activates mobile electronic device attached to car’s dashboard (e.g., iPOD, GPS navigation system, satellite radio, pocket PC) while steering. Prototype Two-finger iPOD remote-control (left) using finger/thumb contact combinations similar to those employed for keyboarding in the KITTY system (Patent #6,670,894). (KITTY prototype shown on bottom left and right). (working proto-type) by Dr. Carsten Mehring
