Internet Use in the Art Classroom Guidelines for classroom computer use

What to do when using the computer… Be sure to only use the computer (particularly the internet) for the purpose of the assignment Be considerate of others, only stay on the computer for your allotted time slot Give credit to the source you are using in your paper/assignment Paraphrase instead of copying and pasting

What not to do when using the computer…. Do not surf the internet for any material not related to the assignment (particularly do not visit non-educational or inappropriate websites) Do not check your personal email Do not use any instant messenger devise Do not visit chat rooms Do not plagiarize Do not waste time

Other guidelines… Do not give out personal information over the internet Respect the classroom computers as if they were your own; if you have a problem with a computer ask the teacher for help Do not use the printer without permission
